Bee School
The CCBA offers a yearly beginner beekeeping course that continues for 9 weeks, meeting weekly. Scroll to the bottom of this page to find details about our next class.

Some things you'll learn in the class include:

At the conclusion of the class, participants will be able to attend our annual field day where you can look inside an active hive, meet other beekeepers, and play games. Click here to see some photos from our previous field day. The class and field day will provide you with all the knowledge needed to pass the state "Certified Beekeeper" exam. All instructors of this class are certified by the state association.

Time: 7:00pm - 9:00pm
Where: Bethel Wesleyan Church Fellowship Hall (same place as our monthly meetings)
Cost: $60.00 cash or check

The class includes 2025 membership to the Cabarrus County Beekeepers and a beginner beekeeping guide/reference book.

You may pre-register at the November, December, or January meetings. You may also wait and pay at the door on the first day of class (first come first serve).

This is a sequential course so you should plan to attend class each week if possible. If you need to skip some weeks, presentation slides will be available.
